Bank Holiday Tomorrow: There are almost over 16 bank holidays in January 2024 including regular holidays i..e Sundays and second, and fourth Saturdays. All Indian banks, private and PSU, remain closed on all Sundays, and the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
However, this time there is a lot of confusion among people if the coming Saturday is working or off. Since, January 13, will be the second Saturday of this month, it will be a bank holiday, and thus, all banks will remain closed tomorrow.

One should note that bank holidays do not mean people will not have access to essential digital services like the Internet, UPI, and mobile banking. Even when banks are closed people can conduct financial transactions via online mode.
Besides, other holidays, banks across the country will be closed on Republic Day (January 26) which is a gazetted holiday. In January 2024, there will be one long weekend. Since January 26, which falls on a Friday will be a bank holiday, the last week of January will see a long weekend as the Republic Day holiday will be followed by a fourth Saturday and Sunday.
Ahead of Republic Day, banks in certain states will remain closed on January 15 on account of Pongal/Makar Sankranti. Thus, banks in states including Karnataka, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Sikkim, and Assam will remain closed on January 15.
