People travelling via Bengaluru metro faced disruption on the Namma Metro Yellow Line after a group of passengers blocked the automatic doors of the first train at RV Road Metro Station, which led to a delay in the operation of 35 minutes and caused a lot of inconvenience for office-goers travelling toward Central Silk Board, BTM Layout, Bannerghatta Road, and Electronic City during morning peak hours.

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has issued a formal public advisory and filed a police complaint in Jayanagar Police Station for appropriate legal action.
According to BMRCL, the first Yellow Line train, which was scheduled to depart at 6:00 AM, was forcibly held by a group questioning why the Yellow Line operations start at 6 AM, while the Green Line and Purple Line begin at 5 AM. The group reportedly arrived via the Green Line earlier than the Yellow Line's service window and attempted to delay the train's departure by standing between the doors, preventing them from closing.
Due to the obstruction, the train left RV Road only at 6:35 AM, creating a huge delay across the entire Yellow Line corridor. To mitigate the effect of this delay, one train had to be short-looped at Central Silk Board, BMRCL confirmed.
BMRCL, in a media release, clarified that from 1 November, after the addition of the fifth trainset, the start time of the Yellow Line was already shifted from 6:30 AM to 6:00 AM. Peak-hour frequency has also been improved, reducing the wait time from 19 minutes to 15 minutes.
Service is expected to improve further as more trainsets are deployed over the coming months. Currently, BMRCL is using 100% of available Yellow Line trainsets, even operating without a spare train temporarily, to support commuter convenience.
BMRCL has requested all commuters to cooperate with staff to ensure smooth metro functioning. The corporation in its release stated, "We remain dedicated to improving passenger experience and ensuring dependable service across the network. We continue to welcome constructive feedback and are open to considering all feasible suggestions.
