Residents in several parts of Bengaluru and Tumakuru should brace for temporary power outages on November 4 and 6, 2025, as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced scheduled power cuts for essential maintenance and upgradation work. The power interruptions are being carried out in coordination with the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
Bengaluru Power Outage Tomorrow From 4 November: Check Areas Affected
According to BESCOM's latest notification, residents in several North Division-1 areas of Bengaluru will experience power cuts during the maintenance window. The affected areas include Chikkabanavara, Chikkabanavara Village, Aladamarandoddi, Thammenahalli, Byalakere, Vaderahalli, Kentenahalli and nearby localities. The scheduled shutdown will take place under the Kempanahalli substation jurisdiction.

BESCOM has urged residents in these areas to plan their daily activities in advance to minimise inconvenience during the outage period. The utility stated that the maintenance work is vital to ensuring a more stable and reliable electricity supply across Bengaluru in the coming months.
Tumakuru Power Cut on November 4, 2025
Meanwhile, the Tumakuru region will also witness planned power outages on November 4 and 6, as part of infrastructure upgrades under Subdivision-1. The areas expected to be affected include Belagumba Village and Layout, Lambani Tanda, Jyothipura, SS Layout, Kunduru Village and Layout, and Venkataadri Layout.
Officials from BESCOM have explained that these power cuts are necessary for carrying out equipment replacement, transformer repair, and high-voltage line realignment, which are part of a larger grid enhancement project in the region.
BESCOM, KPTCL and NHAI Join Hands for Electrical Upgrades
The scheduled maintenance will also involve pole shifting and cable realignment works along key routes managed by NHAI. According to BESCOM, coordination with KPTCL and NHAI will help expedite ongoing infrastructure projects while maintaining public safety standards.
BESCOM's proactive communication aims to help residents and businesses prepare accordingly, reducing the inconvenience caused by the temporary disruptions. The company reiterated that these planned shutdowns are short-term measures aimed at ensuring long-term improvements in power reliability and efficiency.
Bangalore Power Cut: Advisory for Bengaluru Residents
BESCOM has advised Bengaluru and Tumakuru residents to charge essential devices, keep emergency lighting handy, and avoid using high-power appliances during the outage hours. Consumers can also stay updated through BESCOM's official website and social media channels, where real-time updates on restoration timelines will be shared.
