Bengaluru Power Cut: BESCOM Declares 7-Hour Power Outage; November 29 Or November 30? Affected Areas List Here

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has declared maintenance work at its 66/11 kV Platinum City substation area during this weekend. The work will begin at 10:00 am and will end at 5:00 pm. However, it is important to note the date because many areas in Bengaluru will face power disruptions for 7 long hours due to this work.

Bengaluru Power Cut On November 29?

As per the latest update, there are no power cuts on Saturday. Hence, electricity availability is expected to be seamless unless there is any other impact.

But, there will be a power cut on Sunday.

Bengaluru Power Cut On November 30:

According to BESCOM, the maintenance work at 66/11KV Platinum City substation area will be held on Sunday, November 30, from 10 am to 5 pm. It is an emergency work and will be carried by KPTCL.

Areas that could be affected due to the upcoming work are: eliance Industries, Karlon, CKA, Alisda, Jai Bharat Industries Area, Tata Akval, Karle, Professional-Clothing, Raghavendra Layout, RNS Motor, Muneshwar Nagar, Vaishnavi Nakshatra Apartment, LT Karle, Muneshwar Nagar 1st Block, RTO Track Road, Platinum City Apartment, BFW, NTRO, Jal Soudha and surrounding areas.

BESCOM Power Cut Advisory:

Through their X handler, BESCOM said, "In case of any power outage, immediately call Bescom 24x7 helpline number 1912..."

BESCOM further said that "Be careful with electricity and always follow safety measures."

Here are do's and don'ts announced by BESCOM during power outage:

DO'S

- Be careful about home wiring and use quality wire.

- Unplug electricity appliances when not in use.

- Install a main circuit breaker (MCB) to prevent electrical accidents and short circuits.

DON'TS

- Don't use any unsafe electrical appliances in homes

- Avoid construction of buildings near high-voltage wires and power lines

- Avoit ouching or repairing broken wires on the roadside or in fields.
