Bengaluru Power Cut: How To File Complaints At BESCOM For Unplanned Power Outages? Step-By-Step Guide

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has declared nearly 7-hour-long power outages in over two dozens of areas on February 14. The power outages will take place from 10 am to 3 pm on different sets of locations, while another power cut is scheduled between 10 am to 5 pm. The reason behind the power cut is maintenance work. However, chances of power outages to occur in your area is higher even after the scheduled work is over. Bengaluru Power Cut Today:

BESCOM is carrying repair and maintenance work at the 66/11 kV 'Amarajyothi' station,66/11 kV Gokul substation under the Jalahalli division, and at 66/11 kV Remco station from 10 am to 5 pm. The work is done by KPTCL.

Affected Areas: 10 am to 5 pm

Gokul MUSS, D.B. Sandra 4th Block, J.B. Kaval forest zone, Gangamma Circle, D.B. Sandra 2nd Block and Kammagondanahalli. BEL North and South Colony, Bahubali Nagar, Patel Pille Gowda Layout, Bloom Field Garden, Ramachandrapura, Jalahalli village and surrounding areas.

Also, locations like Sharadambanagar, HMT Industrial Estate, Prestige Wellington and Prestige Kensington apartments, Muthyalnagar, Chamundeshwari Layout, Nanjappa Layout and C. Ramayya Layout. Gokul Extension, HMR Layout MRTDC, other Prestige apartments and surrounding will be impacted.

Further, areas like Mysuru Road 7th Cross, Shamanna Garden, Manjunatha Nagar and Pipeline Road. Santosh Tent area, Anantha Ramayya Compound, New Guddadahalli, Kuvempu Nagar, Mysuru Road 6th Cross, Mysuru Road 4th Cross, Old Guddadahalli, Mysuru Road and nearby locations are also expected to take a hit.

However, many citizens are still complaining about power outages even after maintenance work of February 13. Yesterday, BESCOM carried essential maintenance work at several substations. These affected areas such as RBI Layout and adjoining residential colonies, Shreyes Colony, Gowrav Nagar, Nrupatunga Nagar, Brigade Millennium and Brigade Garden Apartment areas, Subbaiah Circle, Richmond Circle, Shanthinagar, Wilson Garden, Double Road, Kottanuru and surrounding lanes, Vijay Nagar and JP Nagar 5th Phase streets, Carlton Street, Lennard Street, Renius Street and nearby locations.
