Bengaluru Power Cut On December 14 & Till December 20: BESCOM Carries 8-Hours Power Outages: Affected Areas

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced power outages in regions of Tumkur and Kolar due to maintenance works on December 14. Further, BESCOM has already commenced a 10-day power outage from December 10th to December 20th due to various work on 11 kV and secondary power lines, and hence impacting electricity in various areas of Bengaluru.

BESCOM Power Cut On December 14:

Firstly, BESCOM declared repair work in the area of sub-division-2 and there will be irregular power supply disruptions on December 13th to December 14th from 10 am to 3 pm.

Affected Areas: 10 am to 3 pm

Siddaramaiah Layout, Sabarpalya, Maruti Nagar, Vijayanagar, Upparhalli and areas around CB Layout.

Further, BESCOM said that TL and SS department will carry out 2nd quarter maintenance works on December 14 at the 220 KV receiving centre, Chintamani and Srinivaspur along with all 66/11 KV power substations.

Hence, there will be a disruption in the power supply to Srinivaspur 220KV receiving centre and 66/11 KV sub-stations.

Other Affected Areas:

Tadigol Cross, Lakshmipur, Addgal, Somayajalahalli, Dalsanur, Mallasandra, Talagavara, Gaunipalli, Rayalapadu, Somayajahalli, Dalsanur, Mallasandra, Talagavara, Gaunipalli, Rayalapadu, and Somayajalahalli.

It said, all consumers in all these areas and surrounding areas should cooperate with BESCOM during this power outage.

Bengaluru Power Cut On December 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20

BESCOM is carrying out the remaining work of shifting 11KV and secondary power lines, transformers and electric poles that obstruct footpath development on both sides of the Bengaluru Double Road from December 10 to December 20.

Due to this, power supply from the 11KV sub-station feeding the F-10 Prabhakar Layout and F-22 KEB quarters feeders will be disrupted.

Affected Areas:

Areas including Bengaluru Road, Kanampalli, Prabhakar Layout, Gundappa Layout, Anjani Layout, Ashraya Layout, Kempama Layout, Venkatagirikote, Filter Bed Circle, Royal Circle, Bagepalli Circle, Tank Blund Road, Teachers Colony and Timmasandra will face power outages from 10 am to 6 pm.
