In a significant boost to India's textile industry, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate Bharat Tex - 2024, one of the largest global textile events to be held in the country. Scheduled from Monday to Thursday, this four-day extravaganza will take place at Delhi's Bharat Mandapam, showcasing India's prowess in the textiles sector and reaffirming its position as a global textile powerhouse.

A Unified Farm to Foreign Approach
Drawing inspiration from the Prime Minister's 5F Vision, Bharat Tex - 2024 adopts a unified farm to foreign approach, encompassing the entire textiles value chain. From fibers and fabrics to fashion, the event will cover every aspect of the industry, providing a comprehensive platform for stakeholders to connect, collaborate, and explore new opportunities.
Trade, Investment, and Sustainability
Organized by a consortium of 11 Textile Export Promotion Councils and supported by the Central Government, Bharat Tex - 2024 is built on the twin pillars of trade and investment. With a strong emphasis on sustainability, the event aims to promote responsible practices and circularity within the textiles industry.
Knowledge Sessions and Interactive Experiences
Over the course of four days, Bharat Tex - 2024 will feature more than 65 knowledge sessions, where over 100 global panelists will engage in discussions on various industry-relevant issues. Additionally, dedicated pavilions on sustainability and circularity, an Indi Haat showcasing traditional Indian textiles, and fashion presentations on diverse themes will provide attendees with a rich and immersive experience.
Global Participation and Expected Outcomes
Bharat Tex - 2024 is expected to attract a wide range of participants, including policymakers, global CEOs, over 3,500 exhibitors, more than 3,000 buyers from over 100 countries, and over 40,000 business visitors. With more than 50 announcements and MoUs anticipated during the event, it is poised to provide a significant boost to investment and trade in the textiles sector, driving exports and contributing to the Prime Minister's vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat.
