Bharti Infratel subsequent to the mega merger deal to establish a tower company has got an approval from the Registrar of Companies (RoC) to change the company's name to Indus Towers. Now, the company is in the final stage of receiving nod from the bourses for updating the change in name.

Bharti Infratel in a BSE filing said it "Further to our letter dated November 19, 2020, we wish to inform you that Company has received approval from the Registrar of Companies, NCT of Delhi and Haryana for change of name of the Company from Bharti Infratel Limited to Indus Towers Limited as provided in the Scheme of amalgamation and arrangement between the Company and erstwhile Indus Towers Limited and their respective shareholders and creditors. In this regard, the Registrar of Companies has issued a fresh certificate of incorporation dated December 10, 2020 certifying the name change.
Consequently, pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 please note that the name of the Company has been changed from Bharti Infratel Limited to Indus Towers Limited, wherever appearing in the Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Articles of Association (AOA) of the Company. Copy of MOA and AOA of the Company along with the fresh Certificate of Incorporation are attached herewith.
Bharti Infratel and Indus Towers merger was completed last month after prolonged delay. Vodafone Idea for its 11.15 percent stake in Indus Towers received as much as Rs. 3760 crore cash.
Bharti Infratel's last traded price was Rs. 244.90 per share on the BSE.
