BHEL Q1 Result: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited's net consolidated loss widened to Rs 455 crore in the June quarter of the financial year 2025-26, dragged by weaker-than-expected power segment revenue, announced the company on Wednesday. The Maharatna PSU had reported a net loss of Rs 211.40 crore in the June quarter of FY25.
BHEL shares ended in red during the Wednesday's trading session, which reflected weak investors sentiment ahead of the company's June quarter result announcement. BHEL shares closed 3.39% lower at Rs 239.65 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 83,447.65 crore. The stock touched an intraday low mark of Rs 238.55 per share and an intraday high mark of Rs 249.75 per share.

BHEL reported a net consolidated loss (attributable to shareholders of the company) of Rs 455 crore in Q1FY26 against a net loss of Rs 211.4 crore reported in the year ago period. Weak power segment performance, apparently due to early onset of monsoon and declining electricity demand, dragged the company's performance in the June quarter.
BHEL's revenue from operations stood at Rs 5486.91 crore in the June quarter against Rs 5484.92 crore in the year ago period. BHEL's net revenue stood at Rs 8993.37 in the March quarter of financial year 2024-25.
BHEL Q1 Segment Wise Performance
The company's power sector suffered massive losses during the June quarter, apparently due to low power demand. Although BHEL is not directly involved in the power generation business.
The PSU primarily focuses on the energy and infrastructure sectors, designing, manufacturing, and installing products and services related to power generation, transmission, transportation, etc.
BHEL's power segment revenue declined on a year-on-year basis to Rs 3898.86 crore in Q1FY26 against Rs 4128.10 crore in the corresponding quarter. As a result, the net loss from power segment widened to Rs 510 crore in Q1FY26 against Rs 53.97 crore reported in the year-ago-period. The segment was profitable in the March quarter of FY25 where it generated a net profit of Rs 308.11 crore.
BHEL Q4FY25 Result
BHEL reported a net revenue of Rs 8,993.37 crore in the March quarter of financial year 2024-25. The Maharatna PSU's net profit stood at Rs 504.05 crore in Q4FY 25 against a net profit of Rs 124.77 crore reported in the March quarter of previous financial year. The company's earnings per share also increased to Rs 1.45 in the March quarter.

The stock ended significantly lower at Rs 239.65 per share on BSE on Wednesday. The company scrip touched a 52-week high mark of Rs 305.80 per share on 7 August, 2024. The stock had dipped to a 52-week low mark of Rs 176.00 apiece on 3 March, 2025.
BHEL share price value has declined around 2.64% in two weeks and has declined around 3.46% in one month. The stock value has surged around 2.59% year to date (YTD). The stock has given around 22.55% returns in two years.
