BIG Trump Announcement Coming! Donald Trump Admin To Release Files Related To Aliens, UFOs

US President Donald Trump has announced plans to order federal departments to start releasing United States government records on aliens, extraterrestrial life and unexplained aerial sightings, responding to rising public curiosity and a fresh debate triggered by comments from former President Barack Obama during a recent podcast appearance.

Trump said on Thursday that agencies would be asked to disclose files on unidentified aerial phenomena, widely known as UAPs, and unidentified flying objects, or UFOs. The announcement came shortly after Trump criticised Obama for discussing possible alien life, which Trump claimed involved sensitive classified material, during media remarks.

Trump directive on aliens and extraterrestrial life government files

On Truth Social, Trump wrote: "Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump did not specify which agencies would release records or set any firm schedule for publication. However, the post suggested that departments handling defence and intelligence, along with other unnamed bodies, would review documents linked to sightings, investigations and earlier official studies on unexplained objects in the sky.

Obama comments on aliens and extraterrestrial life spark row

Earlier on Thursday, Bloomberg reported that Trump accused Obama of mishandling sensitive information. "He gave classified information; he's not supposed to be doing that," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One. Trump then suggested that Obama could be taken "out of trouble" if Trump chose to declassify related records on the subject.

When journalists asked whether aliens exist, Trump replied: "Well, I don't know if they're real or not. I can tell you he gave classified information. He's [Obama] not supposed to be doing that. He made a big mistake, he took it out of classified information." Trump then added, "I don't have an opinion on it. I never talk about it, a lot of people do, a lot of people believe it," indicating that Trump preferred to avoid taking a clear stance on reported sightings or life beyond Earth.

The political dispute followed a podcast released last week, in which Obama discussed alien life with host Brian Tyler Cohen. Obama said, "They're real, but I haven't seen them, and they're not being kept in... Area 51," referring to the highly classified US Air Force site in Nevada that often features in UFO conspiracy theories and decades of public speculation about secret programmes.

Obama went further, saying there was no secret alien base under the desert complex. Obama stated: "There's no underground facility. Unless there's this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States." Obama also noted that during the 2009-2017 presidency, no proof of contact with extraterrestrials was shown, despite frequent public questions on the issue.

The clash over aliens and extraterrestrial life has now linked online speculation, classified material and partisan rivalry. Trump's order, once formalised, is expected to trigger internal reviews of long-held archives, while Obama's remarks continue to draw attention to how much any US president actually learns about unexplained aerial incidents during a term in office.
