Bihar's Tourism Minister, Nitish Mishra, has made a compelling appeal to the business community, urging them to explore investment opportunities within the state's burgeoning tourism sector. During an investment meet and a Bihar Tourism Roadshow held in Delhi, Mishra highlighted Bihar's rich heritage and its rapid development trajectory as key attractions for potential investors. He assured full support from the local government, encouraging businesses to invest confidently in the region.

"Come and invest in Bihar without hesitation; the government will support you at every step," Mishra stated, emphasizing the state's commitment to facilitating investment through various incentives. He also mentioned that prestigious hospitality groups such as Taj, Hyatt, and Sarovar have already established their presence in Bihar, benefiting from direct subsidies and numerous other advantages offered by the state.
The event also served as a platform for Tourism Secretary Abhay Kumar Singh to outline the strategic initiatives undertaken by the Bihar Tourism Department. Singh discussed the comprehensive plans, programmes, and policies designed to enhance infrastructure across all tourism circuits in Bihar. These efforts are complemented by policy-level improvements aimed at attracting more investment into the sector.
Highlighting the tangible results of these initiatives, Singh expressed optimism about further improvements in the state's tourism infrastructure and services. "The positive outcomes are evident, and we are working to improve them further," he remarked, indicating a promising future for Bihar's tourism industry.
Additionally, Resident Commissioner Kundan Kumar shed light on the new industrial policy introduced by the Bihar government. This policy has significantly increased industrial investment by creating numerous opportunities for investors. Kumar revealed that over Rs 50,000 crore worth of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed at Bihar Business Connect 2023. This surge in investment is expected to enhance both general industrial activities and the tourism sector in Bihar, contributing to the state's overall development.
The concerted efforts by Bihar's government officials to promote investment in the tourism sector underscore their commitment to leveraging the state's rich cultural heritage and rapidly improving infrastructure. With a clear strategy and supportive policies in place, Bihar is poised to become an attractive destination for investors looking to tap into India's vibrant tourism industry.
