Bikaji Foods International Ltd. partners with Chaudhary Group to establish a joint venture in Nepal, enhancing snack production and contributing to the local economy.
Bikaji Foods International Ltd. has announced a strategic partnership with Chaudhary Group (CG Foods Nepal Limited). This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Bikaji's global expansion efforts. The joint venture, equally owned by both parties, will focus on producing and marketing Bikaji's range of snacks, including bhujia, namkeen, papad, and packaged sweets, in Nepal.
The companies plan to invest jointly to establish a modern facility in Nepal. This move aligns with the growing demand in Nepal's fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, which is expanding at an estimated annual rate of 20%, according to the Investment Board Nepal.

Strategic Expansion into Nepal
Deepak Agarwal, Managing Director of Bikaji Foods, expressed optimism about the venture. "With CG Group's strong market leadership and deep local insights, we are confident in our ability to deliver high-quality, affordable products that resonate with the consumers in Nepal. Beyond commerce, this partnership seeks to create enduring value — empowering communities, fortifying supply chains, and enhancing Nepal's food ecosystem," he stated.
Varun Chaudhary from CG Foods Nepal Limited highlighted the broader impact of this collaboration. "Our joint venture with Bikaji is not just about product excellence — it's about creating long-term value for Nepal from generating employment to strengthening supply chains. This partnership has the potential to accelerate Nepal's food sector and set new benchmarks in quality and accessibility. We envision making the rich, diverse flavours of India a seamless part of daily snacking in Nepal," he said.
Market Impact and Future Prospects
The announcement had an immediate effect on Bikaji Foods International's stock prices. Earlier today, shares peaked at ₹812 but later stabilized at ₹786.50 on the BSE. This fluctuation reflects investor interest and anticipation surrounding the joint venture.
The collaboration aims to combine CG Group’s local expertise with Bikaji’s established reputation in ethnic snacks. By doing so, they hope to tap into the burgeoning market potential in Nepal while also contributing positively to its economy.
This partnership represents a promising opportunity for both companies to expand their reach and influence within South Asia’s snack industry. As they work together to build infrastructure and develop products tailored for Nepali consumers, they aim to set new standards for quality and accessibility.
As Bikaji Foods International Ltd. continues its international growth strategy through this joint venture with Chaudhary Group, it underscores their commitment towards innovation and market expansion while fostering community development across borders.
