The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, promising a slew of transformative measures aimed at empowering various segments of society and driving progress across the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while presenting the "Sankalp Patra," emphasised the party's commitment to enhancing the dignity and quality of life for all citizens, with a focus on providing both quantity and quality of opportunities.
One of the standout promises in the manifesto is the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), a long-debated issue in Indian society. The BJP aims to introduce a common set of laws governing personal matters such as marriage, inheritance, and adoption, with the goal of promoting social cohesion and equality before the law.

In a bid to streamline the electoral process and reduce the burden on voters and administrative machinery, the BJP has proposed the introduction of "One Nation, One Election" and a "Common Electoral Roll." These reforms seek to synchronise the schedules of parliamentary, state, and local elections, thereby fostering political stability and efficiency.
Recognising the contributions and cultural significance of indigenous communities, the BJP has pledged to declare 2025 the "Janjatiya Gaurav" year, showcasing the rich heritage and traditions of tribal populations. Additionally, the party has committed to expanding the free ration scheme, ensuring food security for vulnerable sections of society.
Addressing the healthcare needs of senior citizens, the BJP has announced plans to bring every Indian citizen above the age of 70 under the ambit of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. This flagship health insurance scheme will provide free coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh, alleviating the financial burden of medical expenses for the elderly. Furthermore, the transgender community will also be included in the scheme, ensuring equitable access to healthcare services for all.
Continuing its support for farmers, the BJP has affirmed that the benefits of the PM Kisan scheme will be extended for the next five years. Moreover, the party aims to promote sustainable agriculture by introducing a "Rashtriya Sahkariti Niti," with a focus on enhancing nutrition and elevating India as a global hub for millet production.
In a significant boost to entrepreneurship and economic empowerment, the BJP has announced a doubling of the loan ceiling under the PM Mudra Yojana, from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. This initiative aims to provide greater access to finance for small and medium enterprises, fostering innovation and job creation in line with the demands of Industry 4.0.
Prime Minister Modi expressed confidence that these measures would catalyse inclusive growth and development, laying the foundation for a prosperous and resilient India. As the nation prepares for the upcoming elections, the BJP's manifesto offers a comprehensive vision for a brighter future, driven by empowerment, opportunity, and progress.
