Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has filed a domestic violence case against her husband, Peter Haag, seeking Rs 50 crore in compensation for alleged loss of earnings due to his actions. The couple, who married in 2010, have three children; Winston, Viraaj and Arthur. Jaitly's petition was filed in a Mumbai court on November 21, following which a notice was issued to Haag, an Austrian entrepreneur and hotelier.

In her petition, 47-year-old Jaitly described 48-year-old Haag as a "narcissist" and a "self-absorbed individual" who shows "no empathy" for her or their children. She alleged that she has endured severe emotional, physical, sexual, and verbal abuse, forcing her to leave their home in Austria and return to India.

Jaitly, represented by the law firm Karanjawala & Co., has sought Rs 10 lakh per month as maintenance and requested the court to restrain Haag from entering her Mumbai residence. She has also petitioned for custody of their three children, who are currently living with Haag in Austria.
According to the petition, Haag restricted her from working on various pretexts after they had children, depriving her of financial independence and dignity. Jaitly stated that she was allowed to take up only "small projects with his permission" from time to time. She also noted that Haag filed for divorce in Austria in August 2025.
The actress and her husband became parents to twin boys in March 2012, and five years later, she gave birth to a second set of twins, one of whom tragically passed away due to a hypoplastic heart condition. Despite the turmoil, Jaitly had previously shared a romantic post on social media for Haag, recounting their proposal and anniversary moments.
"14 years ago today Peter Haag flew down to Mumbai for 8 hours to meet my parents. That very night, he proposed to me at the same spot where my mother had predicted I would find the right one," Jaitly wrote on Instagram. She added, "The wrong one will find you in peace and leave you in pieces, but the right one will find you in pieces and lead you to peace."
In addition to her domestic violence case, Jaitly recently approached a Delhi court seeking help for her brother, Major (retired) Vikrant Jaitly, who she alleged has been "illegally abducted and detained" in the United Arab Emirates since September 2024. Her brother has been residing in the UAE since 2016 and was employed with the MATITI Group, involved in trading, consultancy, and risk management.
Jaitly claimed that the Ministry of External Affairs had failed to obtain basic information about her brother, including his welfare and legal status. The court has directed authorities to facilitate contact between Jaitly and her brother, as well as ensure communication between him and his wife.
