Air India Express has announced a special 'Freedom Sale' in celebration of India's 79th Independence Day, offering a massive inventory of approximately 50 lakh seats across its extensive domestic and international flight network. The sale features highly attractive fares starting from Rs 1,279 for domestic flights and Rs 4,279 for international flights, making travel more affordable during this festive season.

The airline has opened bookings for this sale starting immediately and will continue accepting reservations until 15 August 2024. Travelers can book flights for travel commencing from 19 August 2024 all the way through to 31 March 2026, providing a wide window to plan both immediate and future journeys.

This sale features highly attractive fares starting from just Rs 1,279 for domestic routes, making it one of the most affordable offers available in recent times. For international travel, fares begin at Rs 4,279, allowing passengers to explore global destinations at budget-friendly rates. The airline described this sale as a celebration of freedom, connectivity, and accessibility in the evolving landscape of the new India.
Bookings for this promotion will be available exclusively through Air India Express's official website, www.airindiaexpress.com, and the Air India Express mobile app beginning on 10 August 2024. Following this, the sale will be extended to all major travel booking platforms, including third-party aggregators, from 11 to 15 August 2024, ensuring wider availability and convenience for passengers.
The travel period for tickets booked during this offer covers several major festivals and holiday seasons in India, including Onam, Durga Puja, Deepawali, and Christmas, among others. This makes it an ideal opportunity for travelers to plan trips aligned with these significant cultural celebrations.
In addition to the attractive pricing, Air India Express provides several fare options catering to different travel preferences. The 'Xpress Lite' fare is a no-frills option available exclusively on the airline's official platforms, featuring zero check-in baggage allowance, which is suitable for light travellers seeking the lowest fare. On the other hand, the 'Xpress Value' fare includes standard check-in baggage allowance and starts at Rs 1,379 for domestic flights and Rs 4,479 for international flights, providing added convenience for those carrying luggage.
For travelers who prefer a more premium experience, Air India Express offers the 'Xpress Biz' class, which is equivalent to business class seating. This option features industry-leading seat pitches of up to 58 inches, ensuring extra comfort on board. The 'Xpress Biz' service is currently available on more than 40 brand-new aircraft that have been recently inducted as part of the airline's ongoing fleet expansion.
As of now, Air India Express operates a modern and growing fleet of 116 aircraft, running over 500 flights daily. These flights connect 38 domestic cities and 17 international destinations, reflecting the airline's strong network and its commitment to enhancing connectivity both within India and overseas.
