In order to meet the rising consumption of fuel, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has established a door-to-door diesel delivery service. BPCL is scheduled to distribute diesel through mobile browsers and 9 Jerry can installations scattered around the country's eastern part. Within a two-year period, the industry's effort of door-to-door distribution via mobile dispensers resulted in the commissioning of 1588 FuelKarts and 129 FuelEnts. The firm has already deployed 63 mobile dispensers to serve the fuel demands of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and the North-Eastern regions.

According to the report of India TV "With just in time delivery, complete assurance of quality and quantity, safe and secure product handling and a host of other benefits, FuelKart helps enhance operational efficiency for our customers consistent with the overall philosophy of furthering the cause of ease of doing business," said P S Ravi, Executive Director Retail In-charge, BPCL. He further added that "I'm delighted that on the auspicious occasion of the nation's 75th Independence Day, 15 FuelKarts and 9 BPCL fuel stations with jerry can fuel delivery are being dedicated to our customers across the states in the eastern region."
"This initiative will also go a long way in creating new business avenues and job opportunities for the young entrepreneurs of the eastern region," BPCL added.
Via its Twitter handle BPCL has also said on August 14 that "Fifteen Door to Door Delivery bowsers were launched today, simultaneously, in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and North Eastern states. With these, total 78 bowsers deliver diesel to industries like mining, agriculture, urban and Infra projects located in Eastern India."
Bharat Petroleum, India's second largest oil marketing firm and one of the country's leading integrated energy firms, reported a net profit of Rs 1,501.65 crores in Q1FY22, compared to Rs 2,076.17 crores in the previous year's corresponding quarter. The consolidated net profit for the first quarter of FY22 was Rs. 2,872.8 crores, jumping 31.32 percent from Rs. 2,187.7 crores in the same quarter of FY21.
Commenting on Q1FY22 performance, Shri V.R.K. Gupta, Chief Financial Officer said "The first quarter of the new financial year was marred by the second wave of Covid-19 that impacted the fuel sales across India. The restrictions imposed by state administration and subdued business activity resulted in slowdown of economic growth restricting movement of vehicles. However, impact of second wave was not as bad as first wave of Covid-19."
He further added that "Revenue has grown up by 77% as compared to corresponding quarter of previous year. Similarly, improvements in the crack in the international market is reflected in our quarterly GRM which has shown significant improvement as compared to corresponding quarter of previous year. Acquisition of 36.60% of stake held by Oman Oil in BORL by BPCL was completed during the first quarter of FY 2021-22 resulting in full control on BORL by BPCL."
