BSE Sensex Soars Over 1000 points On Firm Global Cues

BSE Sensex jumped over 1000 points to 58,950 while NSE Nifty rallied 264 points to 17,345 at 3:19 pm on Friday amid firm trends in the global markets and heavy buying in index major Reliance Industries, according to PTI report.

Shares of Reliance Industries, Nestle, Infosys, ICICI Bank, and Tata Motors emerged as top gainers in the day with gain between 2% to 4%. Meanwhile, shares of Apollo Hospital, Adani Ports, and Sun Pharma declined in trade on March 31, 2023.

Banking and IT Stocks witnessed rally in trade on Friday. Meanwhile, investors are looking forward to Reserve Bank of India's bimonthly monetary policy.

In Asian Markets, Japan's Nikkei witnessed gain of 1%, China's bluechips soared 0.2% and Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index jumped 0.5%.

Meanwhile, the Dow Jones jumped 0.4%, S&P 500 surged 0.6% and the Nasdaq Composite added 0.7% overnight, according to report.
