Bullish Equity Zone: Nifty Opens At 17,423.65 Points, Up 0.53% Sensex Up 0.56%

Today, on August 5, the RBI declared its monetary policy to withdraw the accommodation policy and hikes the repo rate by 50bps. However, this stance was expected by investors and it showed little impact on the equity markets. Nifty opened at 17,423.65 points today. Later, Nifty 50 stood at 17,463.75 points, up by 0.53%, while Sensex quoted at 58,625.87 points, up by 0.56%, till 11.18 pm. However, major banking indices are bullish today after the rate hike. Nifty PSU Bank bullish with a 1.27% surge, Nifty Private Bank bullish with a 0.73% surge, after staying flat marginally yesterday.
