Chennai Power Shutdown Tuesday: The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in parts of Chennai tomorrow, 20 May 2025, due to regular monthly maintenance work. Power supply will be suspended in several localities across Chennai during the day. Thirumullaivayil and its neighbouring areas, including Arch Antony Nagar and the Pothur Industries area, will also experience outages.
In Thirumullaivayil and nearby areas, the affected localities include:

- Arch Antony Nagar
- Pothur Industries area
In Avadi and its surrounding regions, power outages will be experienced in:
- CDH Road
- Kavarapalayam
- Sindhu Nagar
- DRR Nagar
- Thanalakshmi Nagar
- Nassar Main Road
- Moses Street
Chennai Power Cut May 20, 2025 Area-wise Timings
According to the announcement, power will be cut from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Thirumullaivayil and its surrounding areas.
In Avadi and adjacent localities, the power outage is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Electricity supply in these areas will be disrupted during the mentioned hours as part of the maintenance operation.
