Owing to the broad based gap in the global labour force, it has been reported today by the World Economic Forum that women shall be the worst amid with the inflation spark.
The think-tank known to host elite gatherings says that the widening gender gap has not come down even as inflation has eased. The forum is of the view that it shall as against the earlier 136 years will now take 132 years for the gender parity to be reached.

For it the think-tank centers gender parity considering four factors namely salaries and economic opportunity, education, health, and political empowerment.
The list prepared on the front had put Iceland on the top, followed by several Nordic nations and New Zealand and Rwanda, Nicaragua and Namibia. On the 10th spot is placed Germany in among 146 nations.
Director at the form Saadia is cited as saying in a leading publication that women have suffered a disproportionate blow due to the cost of living crisis post the labout market problem amid the pandemic.
"In face of a weak recovery, government and business must make two sets of efforts: targeted policies to support women's return to the workforce and women's talent development in the industries of the future," she said.
"Otherwise, we risk eroding the gains of the last decades permanently and losing out on the future economic returns of diversity."
The report now in its 16th year is aiming to track the job market that can have a impact on the gender gap.
