PM Kisan is a central-government initiative that is entirely funded by the Indian government. All land-owning farmer families would receive annual income assistance of 6,000/- in three equal installments under the plan, with the funds being directly sent to the beneficiaries' bank accounts. After reaching the age of 60, each PM-KMY subscriber would get a minimum assured pension of Rs. 3000/- each month. Farmers who have enrolled themselves in the PM Kisan scheme are referred to as beneficiaries, and eKYC is required for them to get benefits. The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare had previously set a deadline of 31st March 2022 for eKYC, however, according to PM Kisan's website, the deadline has now been extended to 22nd May 2022.

PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi (pmkisan.gov.in) has mentioned on its website that "Deadline of eKYC for all the PMKISAN beneficiaries has been extended till 22nd May 2022."
According to the website "eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. Pls. click eKYC option in Farmer Corner for Aadhar based OTP authentication and for Biometric authentication contact nearest CSC centres. There may be Time Out & Delay in response while verifying OTP due to intermittent issue in OTP services of UIDAI as per notification received from UIDAI."
According to the FAQs of PM-Kisan website "The beneficiaries are required to provide their bank account details with Aadhaar number so as to credit the financial benefit under the scheme directly into their bank accounts. No benefit can be given if bank account details have not been provided. Since this is a beneficiary oriented scheme, in terms of extant guidelines, the Aadhaar number of the beneficiary has to be mandatorily provided. In case Aadhaar number is not available, then in such case the application has to provide the Aadhar enrolment number to avail of the benefit under the scheme."
In order to get eKYC done on or before 22nd May 2022, beneficiaries are required to enter their Aadhaar number and Aadhaar-linked mobile number. By clicking here one can know the step-by-step guide to know the process of completing mandatory PM Kisan eKYC online.
