Diesel Gets Expensive; Petrol Unchanged On September 26: Check Latest Diesel Rates

Diesel prices were increased across the country on September 26 by 23 to 27 paise per litre, the second increase in over two months, as worldwide oil prices approached their highest since 2018. However, for the 21st day in a row, the price of petrol has remained steady.

In Mumbai, the retail price of diesel climbed by 27 paise, bringing it to Rs 96.68 for the day. In Maharashtra's capital, the price of petrol remained unchanged at Rs 107.26 a litre.

Fuel rates in Delhi followed a similar pattern, with the diesel price rising by 25 paise while the petrol rate remained steady. In the national capital, a litre of diesel cost Rs 89.07 and a litre of petrol cost Rs 101.19 after the revision.

Diesel prices also jumped in Kolkata, where a litre of the fuel cost Rs 92.17, an increase of 25 paise. In West Bengal's capital, the price of petrol remained unchanged at Rs 101.62 per litre.

Diesel rates in Chennai also increased by 23 paise, bringing the price to Rs 93.69 per litre. In Tamil Nadu's capital, the price of petrol remained unchanged at Rs 98.96 a litre.
