Diwali Muhurat Trading Session Today: Sensex and Nifty kick-started Diwali Muhurat trading session with a bang as both the benchmark indices surged by nearly 0.2% in the first 10 minutes on Tuesday, October 21. Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finserve, etc stole the spotlight as they attained fresh 52-week high mark today.
During the pre-opening session of Diwali Muhurat trading, Nifty 50 surged nearly 0.22% to trade above te 25,900 mark. Additionally, all the broadmarket indices were trading in green. Bank Nifty was up around 0.05% and Nifty Midcap Select was up around 0.47%. Smallcap stocks continued to be among the top performers during the pre-opening trade session. Diwali Muhurat Trading Session: Top 5 Stocks On 52-Week High
Bajaj Finance
Bajaj Finance shares were trading 0.55% higher at Rs 1086.9 per share on BSE at 2:19 pm with a market capitalisation of Rs 6,75,481.81 crore. The company scrip had touched a 52-week high mark of Rs 1,089.95 per share on BSE.
Cipla
THe pharmaceutical giant, Cipla, also emerged as the top stock on the bourses to attain fresh record high marks on Tuesday. Cipla shares touched a 52-week high mark of Rs 1,668.75 per share on BSE on Tuesday. The company scrip later saw some correction and were trading 1.35% higher at Rs 1,661 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 1,34,177.96 crore at 2:22 pm.
Bharti Airtel
Telecom giant, Bharti Airtel, shares also saw a massive surge in valuation during the beginning of Diwali Muhurat trading session. Bharti Airtel shares touched a 52-week high mark of Rs 2,057.95 per share on BSE today. However, the company scrip reversed its gains and was trading 0.34% lower at Rs 2,044.35 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 11,64,597.99 crore. Bharti Airtel share price value has surged around 27.98% since the beginning of the year 2025.
Paytm Share Price
Paytm's parent organisation, One97 Communications also saw some stock market action during the Diwali muhurat trading session. Paytm share price touched a 52-week high mark of Rs 1,319.90 per share on BSE today. The company scrip was trading 0.13% higher at Rs 1,309 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 83,678.38 crore at 2:27 pm.
TVS Holdings Limited
Nearly a 5% rally during Diwali Muhurat trading session made TVS Holdings Limited one of the star performers of the day. THe company scrip surged to its 52-week high mark of Rs 15,698.85 per share on BSE today. TVS Holdings shares were trading 4.5% higher at Rs 15,618 per share on BSE at 2:29 pm.
"The Nifty 50 has consistently closed in positive territory during the last five Muhurat trading sessions (2020-2024), delivering returns in the range of 0.40% to 0.90% on each occasion. With a blend of supportive technical indicators and improving fundamentals, overall market sentiment remains optimistic," explained Vishnu Kant Upadhyay, AVP -Research & Advisory, Master Capital Services.
"From a technical perspective, the broader outlook for the Nifty 50 remains constructive, and the "buy-on-dips" strategy is likely to prevail. Any corrective move towards the 25000-24800 zone could offer an opportunity to initiate fresh long positions, with initial upside targets placed around 25650-25700 levels," explained Upadhay.
