Ministry of Road Transport & Highways few days back launched new guidelines pertaining to procurement of driving license in India. Beginning from June 1, 2024, individuals will get the choice of undergoing driving tests at private training centres instead of government Regional Transport Offices (RTOs). The private centres have been authorized to conduct the tests and generate the certifications for license eligibility.
Starting from June 1, several key regulations are scheduled to undergo key modifications that will impact various aspects of individuals' day-to-day lives. It is imperative to stay abreast about these modifications so that you can prepare yourself more effectively to adopt these changes.

The latest regulations seek to fight pollutions more effectively by eliminating nearly 9,00,000 older government vehicles and implementing tighter emissions standards for cars.
Heavy Penalty For Minors: Meanwhile, fine for speeding continues to remain in the range of Rs 1000 to Rs 2000. However, if a minor is caught driving, he/she will have to shell out a heavy penalty of Rs 25,000. In addition, the registration card of the owner of the vehicle will get cancelled and minors will become ineligible for a license until they turn 25 years old.
Updates For Aadhaar Card: If you are planning to update your aadhaar card, you have to do so by June 14 as that is the deadline. Individuals can easily update their Aadhaar card online from the comfort of their home. Meanwhile, if individuals decide to update Aadhaar card offline, they will have to pay a fee of Rs 50 per update.
Updates For LPG Cylinder Price Adjustments: LPG cylinders prices undergo changes on the first day of every month.
