DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations, a company listed on the BSE, has entered into a strategic merger with AVPL International. Although the financial specifics remain undisclosed, this collaboration is seen as a major step in enhancing India's global standing in drone technology and innovation. The merger aims to revolutionise the Indian drone ecosystem by merging DroneAcharya's research and development expertise with AVPL's extensive infrastructure and talent-skilling capabilities.

The partnership intends to advance drone manufacturing, making cutting-edge technology available across various sectors such as agriculture, logistics, infrastructure, and defence. This merger is expected to significantly impact India's drone technology landscape. Preet Sandhuu, Founder and Managing Director of AVPL International, described the merger as a transformative leap for India's drone and technology sectors.

AVPL International operates in 12 Indian states and manages 50 Global Incubation and Skill Hubs (GISH) along with 20 World Incubation and Skill Hubs (WISH), focusing on drones and agriculture. This extensive network will play a crucial role in building a skilled workforce to strengthen the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) ecosystem. The merger aims to create a robust platform for nurturing talent and driving technological advancements.
DroneAcharya made its public market debut in December 2022. The company has established itself as a key player in the drone technology sector. This merger marks a pivotal moment for both companies as they aim to redefine the possibilities within the drone ecosystem in India.
