Elon Musk: Facebook Is Manipulating The Public Everywhere

Elon Musk, the multi billionaire have accused Facebook again on his platform X, formerly Twitter on Wednesday saying Facebook was manipulating the public everywhere on earth.

This was in response to a tweet by Michael Shellenberger, an American author, who said that Facebook was funding activists demanding censorship of their enemies.
This is part of the ongoing battle between Elon Musk and Mark Zukerberg, the CEO of Facebook.

Earlier this month, both had agreed to have a cage fight but that didnt materialize yet.
Also, X, delayed access to links to content on the Reuters and New York Times websites as well as rivals like Bluesky, Facebook, and Instagram, according to a Washington Post report on Tuesday.

Billionaire Elon Musk, who bought Twitter, now X, in October, has previously lashed out at news organizations and journalists who have reported critically on his companies, which include Tesla and SpaceX. Twitter has previously prevented users from posting links to competing social media platforms.

While the talks around the two billionaire's face-off started a couple of months ago, their actual feud could be traced way back to 2014. Back then, Zuckerberg had invited Musk to his home to sort of convince the latter that artificial intelligence might not be as disruptive as he thinks it would be but couldnt convince Musk. Musk claimed that Zuckerberg's understanding of AI was quite limited.

When Facebook got embroiled in the Cambridge Analytica data scandal in 2018, Musk pulled his EV company Tesla and spacefaring firm SpaceX out of Facebook.
And from then, the tug of war has continued. It is yet to see what future holds.
