Indian electric mobility startup, Entuple E-Mobility, has joined forces with automotive systems supplier Aditya Auto to establish manufacturing facilities in Bangalore. The joint venture aims to produce electric traction hubs and mid-drive motors, as per an official statement released on Monday.
Joint Venture for Electric Mobility

The collaborative project will be financed through equity contributions from both partners. The facility is projected to have a manufacturing capacity of 270,000 units annually of hub motors and 225,000 units annually of mid-drive motors 48V. Production for hub motors is slated to start next month while the production of mid-drive motors is expected to begin in December as the Traction Motor plant gets commissioned.
Driving Adoption of Electric Mobility
The establishment of this joint venture marks a significant step towards promoting the adoption of electric mobility in India. The production line will add BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) motor and PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) traction motors to their existing portfolio.
Mihir Jayaraman, CEO at Aditya Auto Products and Engineering India said: "The establishment of this JV is another key step in our commitment towards offering solutions to drive faster adoption of electric mobility in India. We strive to offer our customers high-performance and cost-effective electric drivetrain solutions with a high level of localisation."
