Union Minister Nitin Gadkari highlighted the export potential of India's electric two-wheelers, especially to regions where Indian brands already sell traditional models. During the launch of Revolt Motors' electric motorcycle, Gadkari noted that half of India's motorcycle production is exported, with companies like Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, and TVS having a strong global presence.

Anjali Rattan, Co-Founder and Chairperson of Rattan India Enterprises, which promotes Revolt Motors, announced plans to begin exports to Sri Lanka. The company is also considering markets in Nepal, Africa, and Latin America. This expansion aligns with the minister's suggestion to explore neighbouring countries and other continents.
Revolt Motors' Expansion Plans
Revolt Motors introduced its RV1 commuter bike at introductory prices of Rs 84,990 and Rs 99,990. These variants come with battery options of 2.2 kWh offering a 100 km range and 3.24 kWh providing a 160 km range. The company aims to release one new product annually over the next five years.
Rattan shared that Revolt Motors plans to expand its sales network significantly. Currently operating 125 outlets, the company intends to increase this number to 500 within the next 12-18 months. By the end of this fiscal year, they expect to have 250 dealerships.
The focus on international markets reflects India's growing influence in the electric vehicle sector. With established brands already exporting conventional motorcycles, electric models present a promising opportunity for further growth.
Gadkari's encouragement for exploring new markets aligns with India's broader strategy to boost exports and strengthen its position in the global automotive industry. As Revolt Motors expands its reach, it contributes to this vision by tapping into emerging markets.
This strategic move not only supports India's economic goals but also promotes sustainable transportation solutions worldwide. By leveraging existing networks and exploring new territories, Indian manufacturers can enhance their global footprint in the electric vehicle market.
