Even though Hi-Tech Pipes Limited, one of the few major Indian steel processing companies, is witnessing a price correction in its shares, the company's performance for Q3 FY25 is remarkable in one word.
When compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, Hi-Tech Pipes declared a growth of 21% achieving net sales of Rs 761.02 crore in Q3FY25. For the initial nine month period ending December 2024, the company's performance was consistently better quarter on quarter. In comparison to net sales of Rs 2,333.89 crore, the net profit was significantly higher at Rs 55.31. The pumped net profit alongside revenues saw profit margins grow year on year by 69% for the period they call 9MFY24. Finally, in FY24, Hi-Tech Pipes achieved a net sale amounting to Rs 2699.29 crore alongside a net profit of Rs 43.93 crore.

Hi-Tech Pipes' potential for growth is being recognized among institutional investors. In December 2024, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) purchased 34,94,557 shares, increasing their stake to 9.79%. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) also increased their stake to 17.32% after buying 1,74,62,311 shares. This represents increasing confidence in the market regarding the company's long-term growth potential.
In what is expected to be a game-changing move, Hi-Tech Pipes recently revealed that superstar Hrithik Roshan will become the company's brand ambassador. The collaboration which aims to strengthen the brand's commitment to quality, strength, and innovation, is expected to boost brand recognition. With strong influence and global reach, the actor is set to enhance the company's visibility through multi-channel promotions such as in print and electronic media, outdoor advertisements, digital marketing, and through radio.
While commenting on the partnership, the company stated that Roshan personifies the strength and excellence which align with the Hi-tech Pipes philosophy. This is expected to deepen customer engagement and enhance brand loyalty in international and domestic markets.
Hi-Tech Pipes is a leader in the processing of steel pipes and has over 40 years' experience. The company offers a diverse selection of products which include steel pipes, hollow sections, solar torque tubes, cold rolled coils, road crash barriers, mounted structures, and zinc products.
With the aim of increasing the installed shredding capacity to one million metric tons per annum by FY25, the company plans on leveraging its existing advanced shredding capacity of 750,000 metric tons spread across six manufacturing facilities in India.
To fulfill the requirements of over 1,000 customers annually, the company relies on a network of more than 450 dealers, which enables it to capture a wider market segment. Moreover, Hi-Tech Pipes' solar torque tubes assist India in achieving its objectives for renewable energy, demonstrating their significant contribution to the solar energy industry.
The efforts put towards strategic expansion and brand promotion caused by the Hrithik Roshan partnership along with strong financial results, highlight a commitment to dominating the Indian steel processing market.
