Fiji's Prime Minister, Sitiveni Ligamamada Rabuka, visited the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. This visit highlights the strengthening ties between India and Fiji in digital transformation. It also underscores India's dedication to sharing its digital public infrastructure expertise with global partners, according to an official statement.

The Prime Minister was welcomed by UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar, alongside senior officials from the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Electronics and IT. During his visit, he received a briefing on India's pioneering digital identity system, which serves as the foundation of India's digital public infrastructure.
Digital Transformation Collaboration
Deputy Director General of UIDAI, Vivek Chandra Verma, and President and CEO of National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Nand Kumarum, delivered detailed presentations on Aadhaar and DigiLocker. They highlighted these platforms' roles in empowering residents and facilitating inclusive digital governance.
The presentations covered the design, implementation, and impact of these systems in driving digital transformation and large-scale service delivery. The delegation also experienced a live demonstration of the Aadhaar enrolment process, offering them direct insights into the system's efficiency, scale, and security.
