How NACH Simplifies Your Life?
The National Automated Clearing House (NACH) for banks, financial institutions, corporates and government was implemented by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). The centralised system for banks, financial institutions, crporates and government facilitates interbank, high volume, electronic transactions which are repititve and period in nature, like deposit of your monthly salary amount, deduction of EMIs and SIPs, etc.
NACH system is also used for making bulk transactions for distributing subsidies, dividends, interest, etc. Similarly, it can also be used for bulk transactions towards collection of payments pertaining to telephone, electricity, water, loans, etc.
According to NPC's website, the system is aimed to provide a national footprint and is expected to cover the entire core banking enabled bank branches across the country.
The centralised system was launched with an aim to consolidate recurring payments across the country and harmonise the transactions and remove local barriers.
NACH plays a pivotal role in India's inter-bank recurring transaction infrastructure, supporting both credit and debit mandates such as salary payments, pensions, subsidies, and loan EMIs. It also facilitates automated payments for services like mutual fund SIPs and subscriptions (e.g., Netflix) through e-mandates. With millions depending on NACH daily, these upgrades aim to improve both speed and security.
