Petrol and diesel prices have risen across the country today. For the seventh day in a row, oil marketing companies have raised fuel prices at the same time, driving costs to a new high for this year's Navratri.
Following Monday's increase, petrol costs Rs 104.44 per litre in the national capital, while diesel costs Rs 93.17 per litre. Petrol costs Rs 110.41 per litre in Mumbai, while diesel costs Rs 101.03 per litre.

The price of petrol in Kolkata has increased to Rs 105.09 per litre, while diesel costs Rs 96.28 per litre. In Chennai, petrol costs Rs 101.79 per litre, while diesel costs Rs 97.59 per litre.
The price of petrol and diesel has crossed the Rs 100 per litre level in numerous states, squeezing the average man's budget.
Brent jumped 25 cents to $82.64 per barrel globally, while U.S. crude rose 41 cents to $79.76 per barrel. For the past seven days, the price of gasoline and diesel has been steadily rising, and the rates are at an all-time high. Petrol and diesel prices stayed stable on October 4, 2021, but then began to rise on a regular basis.
While diesel prices have risen 15 times in the last 18 days, petrol prices have risen 12 times in the last 14 days. Fuel prices in the country have been hovering around record highs since April this year, thanks to more than 40 rises in retail rates.
Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu's main city of Chennai, the price of petrol has been raised to 101.79 rupees and the price of diesel has been raised to 97.59 rupees.
Petrol prices in Bengaluru, Karnataka's capital, have risen to 108.08 per litre, while diesel prices have risen to 98.89 per litre.
