Fuel Rates Today: Petrol & Diesel Price Hiked By 80 Paise On 6th April

Petrol and diesel prices were raised by 80 paise today, for an overall rise of Rs 10 in the last two weeks. Petrol currently costs Rs 105.41 per litre in Delhi, up from Rs 104.61 yesterday, while diesel costs Rs 96.67 per litre, up from Rs 95.87 yesterday. Petrol per litre in Mumbai will today cost Rs 120.51 (up from Rs 119.67 yesterday) a hike of 84 paise, and diesel per litre will cost Rs 104.77 (up from Rs 103.92 yesterday) a hike of 85 paise. Oil marketing companies have raised fuel prices for the 14th time in the previous 16 days.

In Kolkata, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 115.12 today, up from Rs 114.28 yesterday, an increase of 84 paise, while a litre of diesel will cost Rs 99.83, up from Rs 99.02 yesterday, an increase of 81 paise. In Chennai, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 110.95, up from Rs 110.11 yesterday, representing an 84-paise increase, while a litre of diesel will cost Rs 101.04, up from Rs 100.19 yesterday, representing an 85-paise increase.

In Bangalore, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 111.16 today, up from Rs 110.25 yesterday, and a litre of diesel will cost Rs 94.86, up from Rs 94.01 yesterday. In Hyderabad, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 119.49 today, up from Rs 118.59 yesterday, and a litre of diesel will cost Rs 105.49, up from Rs 104.62 yesterday. In Bhubaneswar, petrol costs Rs 112.36 per litre, up from Rs 111.54 the day before, while diesel costs Rs 102.11 per litre, up from Rs 101.29 the day before.

Crude oil remained over $100 today, with WTI Crude last seen trading at $101.5 per barrel and Brent Crude last seen trading at $106.3 per barrel, and as long as the volatility persists, we may predict more fuel price hikes in the coming days. Following the declaration that the US will release 180 million barrels of oil, as well as European Union restrictions on Russia, which might include oil and coal bans, crude oil prices may rise further in international markets.
