Samsung, a dominant player in the global premium smartphone market, has officially announced its much-anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event. The Unpacked stage has historically been the platform where Samsung unveils its flagship innovations, particularly the Galaxy S series.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Launching Soon: Galaxy Unpacked Event in February 2026; Check Date, Time
The company has now confirmed that the next generation of its flagship S series will be introduced at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. The launch event is scheduled to take place on February 25, 2026, in San Francisco, USA, and will begin at 10 AM PT (11:30 PM IST).

As per the teaser shared by Samsung, the event will spotlight enhanced AI integration across devices, indicating that artificial intelligence will play a major role in the upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup.
Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra: Galaxy S26 Series Lineup
The new series is expected to include three models, the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and the top-end Galaxy S26 Ultra. Reports also suggest that Samsung may have shelved the successor to the ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge for now, choosing instead to focus on strengthening its core flagship models.
Galaxy S26 Price Expectations
In terms of pricing, early reports indicate that Samsung could retain similar price tags to the previous generation. For reference, the Galaxy S25 was launched in India at Rs 80,999, while the Galaxy S25 Plus debuted at Rs 99,999. The premium Galaxy S25 Ultra started at Rs 1,29,999. If pricing remains unchanged, the Galaxy S26 series would continue to target the premium smartphone segment without a significant hike.
Design and Display of Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
On the design front, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to maintain Samsung's signature premium glass and metal build. However, leaks suggest slightly smoother and softer edges to enhance grip and comfort during prolonged usage. The overall design language is likely to remain clean, minimal and premium, appealing to users who prefer a refined in-hand feel.
The display is tipped to be one of the biggest highlights. The Galaxy S26 Ultra may feature a large 6.9-inch AMOLED panel with vivid colour reproduction and ultra-smooth scrolling performance. Such a display is expected to appeal to users who consume a lot of video content, enjoy high-end mobile gaming, or prefer expansive screens for productivity.
Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera Quality
Samsung is once again expected to emphasize photography capabilities, especially with the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The device is rumored to feature a 200MP primary camera sensor, supported by additional ultra-wide and telephoto lenses. These upgrades are expected to improve image detail, zoom capabilities, and low-light performance, catering to photography enthusiasts and content creators.
Performance and Software with AI Upgradation
Under the hood, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon flagship processor in most global markets. Certain regions may receive Samsung's in-house Exynos chipset instead. Regardless of the processor variant, the device is anticipated to deliver top-tier performance suitable for gaming, multitasking and heavy app usage, aligning with current flagship standards.
The new series is also likely to run on the latest version of Android paired with Samsung's updated One UI skin. Users can expect enhanced AI-driven features, improved security enhancements, and extended software support. A longer update cycle could make the Galaxy S26 series more appealing to buyers who intend to use their devices for several years.
AI Integration as Key Focus
The teaser strongly hints at deeper AI integration across the Galaxy S26 lineup. While specific features have not yet been confirmed, improved on-device intelligence, smarter camera processing, enhanced productivity tools, and AI-assisted personalization could be central themes during the launch event.
