The Delhi High Court has asked the Resolution Professional (RP) of Go First to share important documents related to aircraft with its lessors within a week. The said documents include records concerning he removal of parts in connection with engines and airframes, and those relating to storage, historical records, online records, and any document pertinent to the airworthiness of the aircraft.
The single-judge bench hearing the plea by Go First lessors, also directed the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), acting via the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), to give lessors access to pertinent documents.

In Addition, the court asked for the implementation of security measures to allow lessors to inspect the aircraft. It was clarified that while the cash-strapped Go First will remain responsible for maintaining the aircraft, lessors can inspect the aircraft as part of their agreement.
The court's order is expected to impact the return of Go First, as the embattled airline may not be able to access these aircraft for operations.
These cases were filed by the lessors after they found their parked aircraft in poor condition during inspections now disposed of by the court.
In this case, three lessors have accused the RP of Go First of not maintaining the lessors' assets. The RP argued against the maintainability of the plea, stating that it had already reached its finality in earlier orders in the case.
Go First which filed for bankruptcy in May this year is likely to soon find a new owner, as various media reports have suggested that the airline has received an expression of interest (EOI) from Naveen Jindal, the promoter of Jindal Steel and Power Ltd.
Meanwhile, according to a Reuters report, Go First's former owner, the Wadia Group, has not shown an intent to bid for the grounded Indian airline and has stayed away from the insolvency process so far amid an ongoing legal tussle.
Noticeably, Go First is India's first commercial carrier to have voluntarily sought bankruptcy protection.
