Gold Price In India Falls, June 1: 24K/100 Grams Gold Slips By Rs 2100, Silver Dips By Rs 2K

Gold price in India today declined and silver prices too witnessed fall on June 1, 2024 as investors digested U.S. inflation report that remained largely in line with estimates. 22K gold price India declined by Rs 200 to Rs 66,500/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal slipped by 2000 on June 1, 2024 to Rs 6,65,000. 24K gold price today fell by Rs 210 to Rs 72,550/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat precious metal dived by Rs 2100 to Rs 7,25,500 in the country. Meanwhile, 18 carat gold price turned cheaper today by Rs 160 to Rs 54,410 and 100 grams of 18K yellow metal prices slipped by Rs 1600 to Rs 5,44,100.

Silver Prices Today: Silver prices in India today fell by Rs 2000 to Rs 93,500/kg. In last 3-days, silver prices have now become cheaper by Rs 4200. 100 grams silver prices in India today fell by Rs 200 to Rs 9350.

22k/10 Grams Gold Price Movement In Last 10-Days In India

Gold price today declined by Rs 200, held steady on May 31, slipped by Rs 400 on May 30, rallied by Rs 250 on May 29, Jumped by Rs 200 on May 28, surged by Rs 250 on May 27, remained unchanged on May 25, fell by Rs 900 on May 24, declined by Rs 1000 on May 23, stayed steady on May 22, and fell by Rs 600 on May 21.

According to Reuters, ""Gold is down despite the friendly PCE report and softer consumer spending, which could suggest near-term exhaustion in what has been a remarkable rally in 2024," said Tai Wong, a New York-based independent metals trader.

The Reuters report added, data showed the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index rose 0.3% in April, in line with forecasts by economists polled by Reuters. In the 12 months through March, PCE inflation gained 2.7% as expected. "Multiple Fed governors have said that it will take a few months of softer inflation to convince them it's safe to cut rates. A September rate move remains close to a coin-flip, though odds will increase slightly after today," Wong said.
