Gold Prices India, Aug 8: Check Latest 18K, 22K, 24K Gold Price, Silver Down By Rs 4200 In 3-Days

Gold prices in India remained steady today after witnessing decline for 2 consecutive days as investors looking forward to economic data for clues on the Federal Reserve's policy trajectory. 22k gold prices today remained steady at Rs 63,500/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices today recorded at Rs 6,35,000. 24K gold prices today remained unchanged at Rs 69,270/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat yellow metal prices today stayed steady at Rs 6,92,700.

Meanwhile, 18k gold prices today did not witness any changes and stood at Rs 51,960/10 grams while 100 grams of 18 carat yellow metal prices are retailing at Rs 5,19,600 on August 8, 2024 in India.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold was up 0.3% at $2,389.42 per ounce, as of 0331 GMT. U.S. gold futures slipped 0.2% to $2,428.40. Spot silver jumped approximately 1% to $26.84 per ounce, platinum edged 0.1% up to $920.40 and palladium rallied 1.2% to $892.75, according to Reuters.

Silver Prices Today In India: Silver price in India today dived for 3rd consecutive day. 1kg silver prices today declined by Rs 500 to Rs 81,500. And, 100 grams silver price today in India fell by Rs 50 to Rs 8,150.

22k/10 Grams Gold Price Movement In Last 10-Days In India

Gold prices in India today remained steady, fell by Rs 400 on August 7, declined by Rs 800 on August 6, remained steady on August 5, stayed unchanged on August 4, slipped by Rs 100 on August 3, surged by Rs 300 on August 2, zoomed by Rs 500 on August 1, surged by Rs 800 on July 31, declined by Rs 200 on July 30, and rallied by Rs 150 on July 29.

According to Reuters, Market focus will be on initial U.S. jobless claims data due at 1230 GMT, while Richmond Fed President Tom Barkin is also expected to speak later in the day. Brokerages including J.P. Morgan, Citigroup and Wells Fargo have forecast a 50 basis-point interest rate cut by the Fed in September after last week's surprisingly weak U.S. employment report for July.

"Longer-term fundamentals look supportive for gold, which include geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the downward trajectory of the U.S. treasury yields," said Kelvin Wong, OANDA's senior market analyst for Asia Pacific.
