Gold Prices Rise In India Again, July 6: 24k/100 Grams Yellow Metal Dearer By Rs 7100

Gold prices in India on Saturday witnessed sharp jump yet again after rising on July 4 and staying steady on July 5 as demand of yellow metal declined in the country amid soaring prices. Buyers of gold in India expect import duty cut in the upcoming budget to be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman later this month.

22k gold prices today witnessed sharp rally today by Rs 650 to Rs 67,650/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices today rose by Rs 6500 to Rs 6,76,500. Meanwhile, 24k yellow metal prices today rose by Rs 710 to Rs 73,800/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat yellow metal prices stood at Rs 7,38,000 after sharp rally of Rs 7100 on Saturday.

18k gold prices today in India stood at Rs 55,350/10 grams after strong gain of Rs 530 and 100 grams of 18 carat yellow metal prices today rose by Rs 5300 to Rs 5,53,500.

According to a Reuters report, ""Every year before the budget, jewellers speculate about possible duty cuts and avoid making purchases. This year is no exception," said a Kolkata-based dealer.

The Reuters report added, "elevated prices have dampened retail demand across the country. In rural areas, farmers are busy with crop sowing activities as rainfall has picked up," said a Mumbai-based dealer with a private bullion importing bank.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold rose 0.3% at $2,363.19 per ounce, as of 0506 GMT and was up more than 1% for the week. Bullion rallied over 1% this week. Meanwhile, U.S. gold futures zoomed 0.1% to $2,372.60. Spot silver jumped 0.5% to $30.56 and was headed for its best week since May 17. Platinum declined 0.3% to $999.64. Palladium soared 0.5% to $1,022.25 and was headed for a third consecutive weekly gain, according to Reuters.

Gold price India today witnessed sharp rise of Rs 650, stayed steady on July 6, jumped by Rs 650 on July 4, remained unchanged on July 3, jumped by Rs 100 on July 2, stayed steady on July 1, did not witness any change also on June 30, rose by Rs 100 on June 29, jumped by Rs 400 on June 28, slipped by Rs 250 on June 27, and fell by Rs 250 on June 26.

Silver prices also jumped sharply by Rs 1600 today, rose by Rs 200 on July 5, jumped by Rs 1500 on July 4, rose by Rs 500 on July 3, rallied by Rs 800 on July 2, jumped by Rs 200 on July 1, stayed steady on June 30, remained unchanged on June 28, did not change on June 27 also, and slipped by Rs 1000 on June 26.
