Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan affirmed the government's dedication to executing budget proposals, guided by expert advice nationwide. He stressed that India's advancement hinges on agricultural development and farmer prosperity. Chouhan shared these insights during a webinar focused on Agriculture and Rural Prosperity.

Chouhan expressed gratitude for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, noting its positive impact on agriculture and farmers. "It is our resolve to implement the budget proposals on the ground," he stated, highlighting the importance of turning policy into action for rural progress.
Commitment to Agricultural Growth
The minister underscored that rural development and agricultural growth are central to the government's agenda. He mentioned plans to consider suggestions for establishing a Makhana Board, as per an official statement. This move aligns with efforts to enhance agricultural productivity and farmer welfare.
Chouhan outlined a six-point strategy aimed at supporting farmers. This includes boosting production, reducing costs, ensuring fair pricing, compensating losses, diversifying agriculture, and promoting natural farming. The goal is for India to not only be self-sufficient but also become a global food supplier.
Vision for 2047
The minister highlighted a vision for 2047 that focuses on self-reliance, sustainable development, and increasing farmer income. Under Modi's leadership, there is a commitment to transforming Indian agriculture into a global superpower. The emphasis is on self-reliant farmers and agricultural prosperity.
Chouhan reiterated the importance of translating policy into action for rural development. He emphasized that without agricultural growth and farmer prosperity, India's overall development remains incomplete.
The administration is keen on implementing suggestions from experts across the country. This approach ensures that budget proposals are effectively executed on the ground, benefiting farmers and enhancing rural prosperity.
