Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini recently met with startup entrepreneurs, expressing the government's dedication to making the state a hub for startups. The government is actively working to position Haryana as a key player in India's startup ecosystem, aligning with the Make in India and Startup India initiatives, according to an official statement.

The Chief Minister emphasised that this initiative aims not only to boost economic growth but also to create job opportunities for young people. He envisions Haryana gaining a distinct identity as a centre of innovation and entrepreneurship nationwide. Saini stated that the number of startups in Haryana should triple, urging entrepreneurs to pledge their support in promoting new startups to achieve this goal.
Startup Ecosystem Growth
Saini highlighted the importance of collaboration in accelerating the growth of Haryana's startup ecosystem. This joint effort will contribute significantly to the state's overall development. The state government is considering introducing new schemes in the 2025-26 budget to further promote startups, providing guidance and funding access for young entrepreneurs to establish their businesses.
In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047, Saini stated that making Haryana a developed state is a priority. The government already offers various incentives through policies aimed at fostering industrial growth and development. Startups have the potential to significantly enhance traditional industries, according to Saini.
Inclusive Development Plans
For the 2025-26 financial year budget, the Haryana government is seeking input from citizens, industrialists, and other stakeholders through consultation meetings. This approach aims to prepare a budget that ensures the welfare of all sections of society and promotes inclusive development across Haryana. Saini invited startup entrepreneurs to share their suggestions, assuring them that these will be considered in the budget planning process.
Saini mentioned that based on the feedback received, new schemes will be developed to increase the number of startups in Haryana. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to establish Haryana as a leader in innovation and entrepreneurship within India.
The Chief Minister reiterated that these initiatives are designed not only to drive economic growth but also to provide employment opportunities for the youth. By fostering an environment conducive to innovation, Haryana aims to become a prominent player in India's national startup landscape.
