H D Kumaraswamy Appointed as Union Minister for Steel in Modi 3.0 Cabinet

In a significant reshuffle within the Modi 3.0 government, H D Kumaraswamy, a prominent leader from the Janata Dal (Secular) and son of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, has been appointed as the Union Minister for Steel. This key portfolio was previously held by Jyotiraditya M Scindia, who has now been assigned the Ministry of Communications and the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. The election results from the 18th general elections revealed Kumaraswamy's strong electoral performance, where he secured 851,881 votes compared to his opponent's 567,261 votes.
