The Himachal Pradesh Revenue Department's My Deed initiative has successfully completed 55,874 registries, improving transparency and reducing the need for office visits. This digital approach reflects the government's commitment to modernising services.
The Himachal Pradesh government introduced the My Deed system earlier this year, aiming to streamline registry processes. So far, 55,874 registries have been completed under this paperless system. According to an official spokesperson, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed the Revenue Department to embrace advanced technologies to enhance transparency and efficiency, reducing the need for multiple office visits.

Technological Advancements in Revenue Department
The state government launched the Revenue Management Portal two years ago, which has significantly improved public access to information. Orders for 1,16,490 cases have been uploaded, and updates on ongoing revenue cases are regularly provided. This allows people to check their case details online without needing to visit government offices. The spokesperson highlighted that these efforts reflect the government's commitment to transparency across all departments through modern technology.
Digitisation and E-filing Initiatives
The focus on digitisation includes promoting e-filing systems in government operations. Given that nearly 90% of Himachal Pradesh's population is involved in agriculture, a transparent and efficient land administration system is essential. Citizens can now apply for a registry with the Tehsildar from anywhere at any time, requiring only one visit to the tehsil office. This change has simplified processes and saved time and money for the public.
To further assist revenue officials, the e-Roznamcha system has been implemented for online filing of the Daily Incidents Diary. Since September 1, 2025, all revenue courts in the state have been made online. This transition supports good governance and transparency by enabling processes like partition, demarcation, correction, and encroachment to be managed through an e-filing model.
Since its implementation, 5,940 cases have been filed under this new system. The entire process has become faster and paperless, according to the spokesperson. These advancements demonstrate the state's dedication to improving governance through technology while ensuring efficient service delivery to its citizens.
