Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. inaugurated its branded shop "Happy Shop," marking the company's first entry into non-fuel retailing in Mumbai on Wednesday. This is the Company's latest offering at its "Club HP" Retail Outlets, which is located on the upscale Nepean Sea Road near Malabar Hills.

"The store will provide home utility products including food, toiletries, healthcare products, bakery products, groceries, medicines and more. The core objective is to provide a range of good quality daily use products to customers at their convenience. Apart from physical sales from the shop, order & self-pick up, order & home delivery options will also be available to the Customers. Customers will be able to browse the merchandise on HPCL's HP-Pay App (available on Play store/App Store), check out product details & availability and have goods delivered to their doorsteps. The services will be available 24X7. Corporation has plans to come up with more such Club HP "Happy Shops" in Mumbai and other major cities of the country, at its Retail Outlets," according to the announcement of the enterprise of Government of India.
HPCL also launched poWer 100, Ultra-Premium grade Petrol with Octane rating of 100 to cater to the growing number of high-end cars and bikes. poWer 100 provides improved knocking characteristics for high-end engines. Its superior combustion properties reduce emissions making it more eco-friendly.
During April-June 2021, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) made a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 1,795 crore. The company's revenue for the quarter was Rs 77,586 crore, up from Rs 46,108 crore in the previous quarter. HPCL recorded overall sales output of 8.83 MMT in April-June 2021, up from 7.62 MMT the previous year for the same period, indicating a 15.9% increase. Despite an effective second wave of the Covid-19 epidemic causing partial lockdowns across the country, sales of major products increased significantly during the quarter compared to the same period the previous year. Petrol sales increased by 36.6 percent, Diesel by 22.2 percent, and ATF by 118.8 percent. HPCL also had its best Q1 LPG sales ever in this quarter. Pipeline throughput for April-June 2021 is 4.34 MMT, up from 3.54 MMT the previous year for the same period, indicating a 22.6 percent raise.
