IEX Share Price: Indian Energy Exchange Limited shares remained volatile during the early trade on Wednesday after the announcement related to its associate company, Indian Gas Exchange IPO. Indian Gas Exchange's board has approved to begin the process of launching an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
IEX shares were trading nearly 2% lower on BSE in morning trade; however, the shares recovered and were around 0.8% down at Rs 147.25 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 13,232.91 crore. IEX shares had touched an intraday low mark of Rs 145.75 per share and an intraday high mark of Rs 149.40 per share.

Indian Gas Exchange IPO Process Gets Nod
IEX's associate company, IGX's board of directors, has provided its approval to start the process of Initial Public Offering ("IPO") of a face value of Rs 10 per share of IGX shares, said the company in a BSE filing on Wednesday.
"The IPO will be undertaken by way of an offer for sale by certain existing and eligible shareholders, subject to market conditions, receipt of applicable approvals, regulatory clearances and other considerations," stated IEX in its BSE filing.
The size of the issue, its opportune time and modalities of the issue will be decided by the board in the coming months. More updates related to IGX IPO will be shares on the exchanges in the coming days.
IEX Share Price Recommendation
IEX shares showcased a bullish trend in the coming days. Antique Stock Brokerage, in Wednesday's daily report, maintained its 'Hold' rating for IEX stock with a target price of Rs 155 per share.
IEX Share Price Trend
IEX shares were trading in red on Wednesday till 12 pm. The stock had touched a 52-week high of Rs 215.4 per share on BSE on 9 June 2025. Whereas, the stock dipped to its 52-week low mark of Rs 130.35 per share on BSE on 7 August, 2025. IEX share price valuation has jumped over 4.62% in past five days, and over 8.2% in two weeks. The share price has declined over 17.75% since the beginning of the year 2025 (YTD). The stock has a return on equity (ROE) of 44.31%.
