If you want to reduce your IGL Piped Natural Gas (PNG) bill, IGL is offering you the chance to do so. Self-billing will help you save money on your bill. All you have to do is download the Indraprastha Gas Limited Connect mobile app to get started.
The gas metre reader usually collects the reading from the customer's home once every two months, and then the gas bill is issued. Self-billing refers to the method of a customer initiating his or her own billing by punching metre readings into the IGL link app.

How to self -bill PNG IGL? What are the steps involved?
Step 1: Log in to IGL connect app using your BP number and registered mobile number.
Step 2: Ensure you are E bill subscribed for faster processing and delivery of bill on your registered email id.
Step 3: Click on Self Billing.
Step 4: Insert Meter reading
Submit meter reading from Left to Right (Ex. Meter reading is 00350.105)
Step 6: Upload the real-time clear picture of the meter
Step 7: Submit.
The bill will be produced and sent to the registered email address within 24 hours. The distribution of hard copies can take some time. Only after there has been a period of at least 21 days between two billings will a bill be produced.
Benefits of Self-billing
- There's no need to be concerned about a missed metre reading or the need for a metre reader visit.
- Get an immediate response to your complaints about metre readings.
- This option allows you to divide your bi-monthly bill into monthly payments.
- There are no worries about estimated bills/adjustments, etc. With impact from January 1, 2021, customers will get this discount for up to six self-billing attempts. Following self-billing, the discount will be applied to the next bill.
With effect from 2 March 2021, PNG prices have been revised to Rs 28.41 per SCM, inclusive of VAT.
- PNG costs Rs 28.36 per SCM in Noida, Greater Noida
- PNG prices are Rs 28.46 per SCM in Karnal and Rewari. and Ghaziabad.
- PNG prices are 32.67 per SCM in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, and Shamli (including VAT).
IGL was established in 1998 and took over the Delhi City Gas Distribution Project from GAIL (India) Limited in 1999. (Formerly Gas Authority of India Limited).
