Infosys, a leading Indian IT services company, and Intel, the global chip powerhouse, have recently announced an expansion of their strategic partnership aimed at propelling global enterprises forward on their artificial intelligence (AI) journeys. This collaboration is set to offer advanced AI solutions designed to enhance business efficiency and cost-effectiveness while prioritizing responsible innovation.

The partnership will focus on democratizing AI through the integration of open standards in AI hardware and software across various computing environments, including edge, core, and cloud. Infosys Topaz, an AI-centric suite of services, solutions, and platforms, will incorporate Intel-based solutions such as Intel Xeon processors, Intel Gaudi accelerators, and Intel Core Ultra Processors. This integration aims to facilitate the adoption of generative AI technologies by businesses, ensuring they meet the evolving standards of AI application.
Furthermore, Infosys plans to utilize Intel's AI training resources to enhance its employees' expertise in the Intel product portfolio. This initiative is expected to bolster Infosys' ability to deliver cutting-edge generative AI solutions to its extensive network of global customers across various industries.
Balakrishna D R, Executive Vice President, Global Services Head, AI and Industry Verticals at Infosys, emphasized the company's commitment to an AI-first strategy. He highlighted that the collaboration with Intel would enable Infosys to offer superior AI services that unlock substantial business value for clients. "By combining our strengths, we are helping enterprises on their journey to become AI-first and accelerate business value with our industry-leading AI solutions," Balakrishna stated.
On the other side, Christoph Schell, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Intel Corporation, pointed out the growing demand for AI solutions that offer competitive total cost of ownership and quick time-to-value. "Our approach in bringing AI everywhere is by supporting an open AI software ecosystem and accelerating the adoption of Intel Xeon and Gaudi accelerators for Gen AI use cases," Schell explained. He further noted that the collaboration with Infosys and local Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) presents a significant opportunity for Intel to drive technology adoption and optimize cost efficiency for customers.
This strategic expansion between Infosys and Intel marks a significant step towards enhancing enterprise growth and efficiency through generative AI technologies. By leveraging each other's strengths, both companies aim to facilitate a broader adoption of AI solutions across industries, ultimately leading to more innovative and responsible business practices.
