Reliance Industries' Chairman Mukesh Ambani's children, Isha, Akash and Anant Ambani, took home Rs 2.3 crore remuneration as members of the RIL board of directors for the financial year 2024-25. While children earned crores for their role, business tycoon Mukesh Ambani took no money in FY 25.
This is not the first time Mukesh Ambani, one of the richest men in the world, has left his remuneration in a financial year. The 68-year-old business tycoon has taken no compensation since COVID-19.

How Much Ambanis' Have Earned as RIL Board Members?
Isha M. Ambani, Akash M Ambani, and Anant M Ambani have taken a sitting fees of Rs 6 lakhs and commission of Rs 2.25 crore. The total amount is equal to Rs 2.3 crore.

This amount includes their sitting fee and commission as non-executive directors. Mukesh Ambani himself did not draw a salary for the fifth consecutive year.
In the fiscal year 2025-26, Reliance Industries disclosed the earnings of its directors. Apart from Mukesh Ambani, who opted for zero salary, other full-time directors like Nikhil R Meswani and Hital R Meswani earned Rs 25 crore each. P M S Prasad received ₹19.96 crore during the same period.
How Much Anant Ambani Has Earned in FY25?
Anant Ambani became the full-time director of Reliance Industries in June 2025. As per the RIL's annual report for the year 2025, he is set to earn between ₹10 crore and ₹20 crore annually. This compensation includes salary, perquisites, and allowances.
The remuneration package also includes Anant Ambani's accommodation costs, house rent allowance, and utilities like gas and electricity, and other provisions under the Income Tax Act of 1961.
Other Benefits For Directors
Anant's compensation package extends beyond basic salary. He will receive extra payments based on net profits along with reimbursements for expenses such as security and medical costs. These benefits are part of his role as a full-time director at Reliance Industries.
The tenure for executive directors at Reliance is five years from their appointment date. Anant's appointment followed a board meeting held in the April-June quarter of 2025.
Mukesh Ambani continues to lead Reliance Industries without drawing a salary, maintaining this stance for five years now. His decision aligns with his leadership approach amidst the company's evolving strategies.
Reliance Industries reported a 78% year-on-year increase in its net profit to Rs 26,994 crore in the June quarter of FY26 against Rs 15,138 crore reported in the year-ago period. The surge in profit was largely driven by a one-time gain from the stake sale in Asian Paints. THe profit surpassed the industry estimates of Rs 22,069 crore.
