Industrialist Gautam Adani, along with his family, attended the annual Rath Yatra in Puri, Odisha. This festival is one of India's most revered religious events. Accompanied by his wife Priti and son Karan, the Adani Group chairman engaged in rituals linked to the procession of deities Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra.
The Adani family also participated in preparing prasad for temple offerings. The Adani Group is actively supporting pilgrims and local authorities throughout this nine-day festival. This initiative aims to assist millions of devotees visiting the coastal city.

Adani Group's Support Initiatives
The Adani Foundation is coordinating efforts that include large-scale meal distribution, provision of drinking water, and safety gear for workers. They are collaborating with local volunteers and institutions to ensure smooth operations during the festival.
This outreach mirrors a similar effort earlier this year at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. There, the group partnered with religious and civic bodies to support food distribution and services for pilgrims.
Meal Distribution and Safety Measures
From June 26 to July 8, the Adani Group has pledged to provide approximately four million meals and beverages. These are being distributed through various designated food counters across Puri. Cool beverage stalls have been set up to help pilgrims cope with Odisha's intense summer heat.
In addition to food and water provisions, fluorescent vests have been distributed to municipal workers. Volunteers received T-shirts, while security personnel and devotees were given rainwear such as jackets, caps, and umbrellas.
Collaborations with Local Organisations
Lifeguards from the Puri Beach Lifeguard Mahasangha are receiving logistical support as part of this initiative. The seva or voluntary service is being conducted in coordination with the Puri district administration, ISKCON, and various local civil society organisations.
This comprehensive support underscores the group's commitment to community welfare during significant cultural events. By ensuring essential services are available to all attendees, they aim to enhance the overall experience for devotees.
