Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir acknowledges the Indian Chamber of Commerce's role in enhancing trade and industry. He highlights the importance of collaboration and investment opportunities in the region, emphasising resilience against challenges.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha engaged with members of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on Saturday. He praised their efforts in advancing trade, commerce, and industry within the Union Territory. Sinha highlighted that the ICC meeting would serve as a platform for local businesses to network and collaborate effectively.

Sinha emphasised India's rich cultural heritage and traditional values, which have contributed to its resilient economy. "India is one of the oldest civilisations in the world. For us, relationships are not transactional. They are based on compassion and brotherhood," he stated. This foundation has helped establish India as a formidable nation.
Investment Opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir
The Lieutenant Governor discussed the investment prospects, peace, and economic changes occurring in Jammu and Kashmir over recent years. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the region is experiencing an industrial revolution, making it an appealing investment destination.
Sinha noted significant achievements in infrastructure development, including road, air, and rail connectivity. These advancements have facilitated industrial investment across Jammu and Kashmir, reaching even its most remote areas.
ICC's Role in Economic Growth
Sinha commended the ICC for its role in policy advocacy and global business partnerships. The organisation has been instrumental in connecting investors, fostering a business-friendly environment, and enhancing India's competitiveness globally. "The role of the ICC as one of the important pillars of our strong economy is extremely important in the historic and transformative journey of India towards Viksit Bharat in 2047," he remarked.
The ICC's meeting in Srinagar symbolises resilience against terrorism, sending a strong message to adversaries. Sinha expressed confidence that this event would motivate industries in Jammu and Kashmir to pursue greater ambitions.
Support for Investors
The Lieutenant Governor expressed gratitude to business leaders and stakeholders for attracting domestic and foreign investments. Their efforts have helped establish India as a stable economy. He assured industry players and potential investors of full support to explore profitable ventures in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sinha concluded by acknowledging the ICC's significant contribution to India's economic journey. He appreciated their efforts in promoting trade interests and strengthening India's position on the global stage.
