On Wednesday, the share price of JTL Industries began at Rs 98.51 on the BSE, which was higher than its previous closing price of Rs 98.05. After that, the price of JTL Industries' stock rose to intraday highs of Rs 102.65, representing gains of about 5%. This followed JTL Industries' announcement that it had received a sizable order for 3,000 metric tonnes of various-sized galvanised iron (GI) pipes. As part of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, Jammu, has placed the order, which is worth Rs 24 crores. Within the next 30 days, the delivery is expected to be finished.

As a major supplier to JJM, JTL Industries stands to gain a great deal from these developments. The business is well-positioned to take advantage of further possibilities brought about by the government's renewed emphasis on quality, sustainability, and long-term water security because of its proven track record of providing high-quality GI pipes for water infrastructure projects.
The management of JTL Industries said: " We are pleased to announce this significant order from the PHE Department, Jammu, under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The extension of JJM presents significant opportunities, and with our established track record as a trusted supplier to the government, JTL is well-positioned to support its next phase. Our proven ability to meet diverse requirements with high-quality GI pipes, backed by our added manufacturing capacity, and our successful history in government projects, ensures we are ready to contribute to large-scale infrastructure initiatives moving forward. As investments in water infrastructure rise, we see significant opportunities to create long-term stakeholder value, enhancing our visibility in the sector and further solidifying our commitment to India's water security and rural development."
By expanding tap water coverage from 3.23 crore (17%) residences at launch to 15.44 crore (79.74%) households as of February 1, 2025, JJM, which was introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15, 2019, has revolutionised rural water availability. The government has now prolonged JJM until 2028 with an additional outlay. With Rs 67,000 crore set up for FY 2025-2026 alone, the Jal Shakti Ministry projects that an additional RS 4 lakh crore would be required to complete the objective.
Among the fastest-growing producers of steel tubes, JTL Industries Limited has its registered office in Chandigarh. The firm operates manufacturing plants in Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Punjab. The firm has a total capacity of around 6,86,000 MTPA for pipe production and about 3,00,000 MTPA for backward integration. The business is a reputable Star Export House, and among its products are hollow sections, solar structures, MS Black pipes, GI pipes, and others that serve a variety of industrial and infrastructure uses.
